Australia goes Back to being a Penal Colony

The Australian military is on streets for first time since early colonial rebellions. Ostensibly, this is because the WuFlu is a ‘natural disaster’ and so it is appropriate for the military to assist police and emergency services. That of course, is specious nonsense. The WuFlu is not a natural disaster and the military is not assisting as they would with a major flood or fire. Rather, they are obeying political mandates to imprison law abiding citizens in their homes. ‘Law and Order’ is a civilian police matter not a military matter, unless there were an actual armed uprising against the Crown. This is not a trivial distinction.

 

Maintaining a strong separation between the military and civilian spheres is what distinguishes civilised countries/governments from third world dictatorships. By involving the military in civilian affairs Australia has crossed the Rubicon. Whatever your opinion on COVID and vaccines, by this fact alone we are now in a fight for the heart and soul our nation and its people. This must not be the ‘new normal’.

 

Involvement of the military is the most obvious and odious shift that has taken place in our polity. More broadly the shift has been from elected representatives asking the people what they want, to unelected officials and armed men telling them what they must do. This is not what two generations of Australians and their allies fought for.

 

Afghanistan Falls

Having overrun the country in 7 days to 72 hours (depending in when you count from), the Taliban were seen entering the Presidential Palace in Kabul without using a check-in app, social distancing, or wearing masks. Quick, someone scramble an aircraft and send it to Kabul with Daniel Andrews on it!

The Biden/Harris administration together with the entire US military and intelligence complex this month experienced utter humiliation and defeat at the hands of the Taliban.

Rivers of ink will now be expended explaining this catastrophe. See some excellent analysis here and here.

 Words cannot capture the extent of the horror and chaos but see here. It gets worse. The US equipped, at tax payer expense, the Afghan army with perhaps a billion US dollars-worth of weaponry. All of that is now in the hands of the Taliban including black hawk helicopters and attack drones. More transportable weapons will now find their way to the radical Islamic diaspora worldwide.

Allusions to the fall of Saigon are flying thick and fast. This is unfortunate. In no way can the Taliban be compared to the Vietcong. The conflict in Vietnam was a proxy war with the Soviet Union and China.

The North Vietnamese army was equipped with (then) state of the art air defence systems, artillery, and towards the end of the war, battle tanks. They even had a small air force trained by Soviet instructors. Allied forces never achieved total air superiority over all of Vietnam. In contra distinction the US and allies enjoyed total control of the air over Afghanistan, had the country under total surveillance, and were facing a foe equipped with only light arms, and were still defeated! 

 

What will not be admitted to in most analysis is that Bush then Clinton then Obama/Clinton, then Harris/Biden were all deeply invested in funding, equipping and training militant Islamists. These forces were deployed to push the Soviets out of Afghanistan, then carve out a NATO enclave in Serbia, then destabilise Russia’s southern border including Chechnya, then overthrow the moderate secular government of Libya, and then overthrow the moderate secular government of Syria. They have now carved out mini Islamist territories in Britain and in France as well as parts of Africa and Asia. On this basis the US Democratic Party are without doubt the greatest opposition to women’s rights on planet earth.

 

It is utter hubris to imagine that these terrorists can be imported into Western countries and then tamed, or deployed at will and then neutralised.

 

CNN and other establishment mouth pieces are now struggling to package the fall of Afghanistan as a ‘not too bad’ outcome in which ‘moderate’ terrorists can be tolerated. Here a CNN reporter explains that although they chant ‘death to America!’ they ‘seem to be friendly’.

 

This has been the line in Syria for the last seven years.

 

Those years have seen people crucified, burned alive in cages, beheaded, tortured in medieval ways, forced to convert, and sold into sex slavery, by the ‘moderate opposition’ supported by Western intelligence and trained by the CIA. Right now the Taliban are going house to house and carrying off women and girls for sex slavery and killing Christians while Biden and Harris laugh the whole matter off.

 

The only force that has consistently and on principle fought against the Islamists on all fronts is Russia.

 

Many are now asking what was gained from the war? Here is one answer from Wikileaks.

 

Let it never be forgotten, that while a US president was banned from twitter, the Taliban kept their accounts and used them to facilitate the capture of Afghanistan and its capital.

Here members pose with ice creams on twitter in mockery of Biden. Twitter has announced that Taliban members will be allowed to remain on their platform while Trump will remain banned. GAB reports:

“"Facebook’s WhatsApp has become the de facto communication platform of the Taliban, who reportedly used the service to spread propaganda, communicate with residents of Kabul, and share official statements with the world.

In messages apparently distributed to Kabul residents via the messaging group WhatsApp, the group proclaimed that “we are in charge of security for Kabul.” The messages listed telephone numbers in various neighborhoods that citizens should call if they saw problems such as looting or “irresponsible” behavior on the part of armed individuals.

Meanwhile Twitter and Facebook banned the sitting President of the United States back in January and millions of conservative Christians face shadowbans, deplatforming, and blacklisting at the hands of Big Tech companies.

If you are a Christian conservative in the United States of America you are treated worse and have less freedom online than the Taliban.

The significance of Big Tech’s involvement in the destabilization of Afghanistan is largely being ignored by the likes of the ADL, SPLC, and the many other activist groups who for years have lobbied Big Tech platforms, hosting providers, payment processors, and more to deplatform and defame Gab and our community.”

COVID Corner

The COVID catastrophe has now become a tale of two narratives, the first collapsing, and the second gaining strength. One of these narratives is false and one is true. They are:

THE MAINSTREAM NARRATIVE

 

·        It is not known where Covid 19 originated but the most likely origin is the transmission from an animal to humans

·        Covid 19 has killed 600K people in the US

·        Trump botched the Covid 19 response costing many lives

·        Many deaths were preventable if we’d tested, masked, tracked and locked down better

·        Vaccines are good and have eradicated polio, measles, whooping cough and other diseases

·        Vaccines against Covid 19 are safe and effective and have saved many lives with only minor, acceptable adverse reactions

·        There are no effective treatments for Covid 19 besides the vaccines

·        Covid is spread by droplets and aerosols from infected people, both symptomatic and asymptomatic, and can be spread through momentary casual contact both indoors and outdoors

·        Children and young adults are at risk form Covid 19 and can spread the disease and should take the same precautions and measures as adults

·        We need to do whatever it takes to defeat Covid 19 including frequent testing, mass vaccination, continued lockdowns and wearing masks

·        The best information comes from the CDC, FDA and NIH

·        The mainstream media warns us of the dangers of Covid 19 but unfortunately many do not take these warnings seriously

·        As usual, conspiracy theorists and nut-jobs abound

·        Antivaxxers are against all vaccines and now also against the Covid 19 vaccines

·        Antivaxxers have believed phony information disseminated by scurrilous, right wing charlatans

·        These people cost many lives and are the reason Covid still spreads and mutates

·        They are responsible for continued lockdowns and the further decimation of the economy

·        They are selfish, evil and anti-science

·        The Covid 19 response is all about trying to get us back to normal as quickly as possible

 

THE COUNTER NARRATIVE

·        Covid 19 was most likely created in a lab in China or the US

·        Covid 19 kills people but far fewer than the official count

·        Almost all officials in government have botched the Covid 19 response, costing many lives

·        Most deaths were preventable if we had investigated and deployed early treatments including vitamin D, zinc, hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin

·        Vaccines are good and have eradicated polio, measles, whooping cough and other diseases

·        The Covid 19 vaccines however are not actually vaccines but gene therapy and have not been adequately tested

·        The Covid 19 vaccines have serious side effects including death and other as yet unknown consequences which are not being investigated and are suppressed by the media

·        We need to defeat Covid 19 and the best way to do this is through early outpatient treatment with known, effective drugs and known drug protocols for hospitalized patients

·        Covid 19 is primarily spread by aerosols from symptomatic and pre-symptomatic people, mostly in indoor situations with poor ventilation where people spend a long time together

·        Children and young adults are at low risk from Covid 19 and need take fewer precautions and measures but should be treated with drug protocols if infected

·        Masks, distancing and lockdowns are mostly ineffective

·        The best information comes from front line doctors who actually treat patients and experienced researchers who have no financial interest in big pharma

·        Tens of thousands of medical doctors and medical scientists, including the inventor of mRNA technology, are speaking out against both vaccination and lockdowns and support the counter narrative. They are being attacked and censured.

·        The CDC, FDA and NIH are largely compromised because of their association with and funding by drug companies

·        The mainstream media is also compromised by their association with big pharma and the government

·        The truth about Covid 19 is suppressed and labelled conspiracy theory in order to support the mainstream narrative

·        People who insist that the vaccines are the only way to fight Covd 19 have believed lies told to them by the MSM from big pharma and a corrupt medical establishment

·        The vaccine narrative has cost many lives and ineffective vaccines are responsible for the continued spread and mutation of Covid 19

·        The fallacious mainstream narrative is responsible for all lock downs and the decimation of the economy

·        The Covid 19 response is all about money, power and control

Despite the rhetoric the ‘super spreaders’ are most likely those who took the vaccine.

Interestingly the messaging is gradually changing from ‘take to vaccine to keep you and everyone safe’ to ‘we will punish you until you take the vaccine but then you will be free’ to ‘you will not be free even after you take the vaccine’.

 

National Responses Differ

Official responses to developments vary. Singapore has declared COVID19 as an endemic disease and will treat it like any other seasonal flu. In other words, this virus isn’t going to be ‘beaten’ and will continue to mutate, and Singapore is just going to live with it. Sweden has never gone into hard lockdown. India is experimenting with preventative medicines as an alternative to vaccination.

 

Meanwhile three African Presidents have died after refusing distribution of COVID vaccines.

Australia is developing a reputation as the most coercive and extreme jurisdiction in the ‘free’ world. In this country three States are in lockdown while Western Australia has gone full fascist.

 

In Europe mass protests numbering close to a quarter of a million people are occurring against lockdown and vaccine passports while in France police officers with machine guns harass café goers for vaccine passports. Substantial penalties apply.

 

In the United States many Governors are refusing to impose a second lockdown while vaccination efforts are becoming increasingly desperate and draconian. The line between the civilian and military spheres is becoming increasingly blurred with National Guardsmen now involved with administering vaccines in some US jurisdictions, and US government employees are going door to door pressuring people to get vaxxed.

 

As noted above, Australia has likewise blurred the line between civilian and military spheres with the army now keeping citizens imprisoned in their homes. Next step appears to be door-to-door tests followed by door-to-door vaccinations and possible kidnapping.

 

One Australian minister has refused to rule out electronic ankle bracelets to enforce home quarantine.

State Kidnapping

It appears that the CDC is contemplating involuntary internment at local and regional levels. Strip away the medico-bureaucratic language and what that means is armed officers dragging people from their homes and putting them in death camps at the discretion of unelected bureaucrats without due process or recourse to law.
Children will be taken from their families but it’s OK because due consideration will be given to ‘sociocultural gender norms’. See below:

Saving Children or Killing Them?

Global efforts are underway to force children to be vaccinated. I have a friend in New South Wales who has been told by a private school that her son cannot sit his year 12 exams unless he gets the vaccine. Given that children are not at risk from COVID, and given that they are at risk from vaccines, this is murder. Two probable vaccine deaths among children in Australia were reported this week. In the United States Frontline Doctors are suing to precent vaccination of minors:

 

“As of July 9th, reported deaths in VAERS totalled 10,991. Of those, 4,593 were within 72 hours of vaccination. The CDC source has provided a sworn statement that the actual number of deaths are conservatively five times higher, meaning that as of publication, we are approaching at least 55,000 vaccine-related deaths.”

Meanwhile, Doctor Simone Gold of Frontline Doctors advocacy group has been arrested and had air travel restricted following her attendance at the March to Save America Rally in Washington.

 

Meanwhile Members of Children’s Health Defense (CHD) and Children’s Health Defense Europe gathered in Switzerland to discuss the impacts of the global COVID vaccine agenda, and to unite in the fight for health freedom.

 

Killing off the US Military

The Biden administration has doubled down requiring all serving military personal and federal employees to be vaccinated. Given:
·        the risk of vaccine injury and death for US military personnel,
·        that the US military is all that stands between the free world and domination by a communist regime,
·        that this is a Chinese made bioweapon, and
·        evidence of foreign involvement in the 2020 US election,
this is fuel on the fire for conspiracy theorists.

 

What’s Happening in Culture

In these times it is important to laugh. The Hodge Twins are two Afro-American brothers who have taken political satire to a new level. They are not family viewing but if you can handle profanity with levity, they may be for you.

Twitter can drive you crazy but sometimes it can help you remember and stay sane.

 

Meanwhile a culture of resistance is developing. Before things begin to get messy let me clearly and dispassionately step out the options. When confronted with a totalitarian system, whether a third world dictatorship, a communist dictatorship or a COVID police State, the options are as follows:

 

Option 1 – Side with the System

This is a great option for those not wishing to limit their careers, or who truly believe the official line, or who lack a moral centre, or who are simply too beaten down to resist, or who feel they have no choice.

 

Option 2 –Try to get-by

This is what most people do under an occupation regime. Engage with the black economy, break the rules when not too risky; try to find a way around endless official road blocks to make life possible. Find someone who lived in Eastern Europe and ring their grandmother for tips.

 

Option 3 – Comply but Campaign

Spend lockdown sending emails to politicians and leaders, share information, network, ring local and community radio, engage respectfully with others. Wear a mask in public.

 

Option 4 – Don’t Comply

This may be personally costly but is also liberating and gives others ‘permission’ to do the same. As Ghandi astutely observed, a government cannot rule a people who are not willing to be ruled by them. However, you must be prepared for the emotional, relational, financial, and legal trouble that will come your way.

 

Option 5 – Non-violent Civil Disobedience

To be effective, non-violent civil disobedience must be more than simply protesting. There is nothing wrong with protesting. It can encourage, empower and challenge. Put bluntly though, protesting has not changed anything since the 1980’s. Civil disobedience should rather focus on the ‘pain points’ for those in power. Ghandi made salt. What would be the equivalent today?

 

Option 6 – Violent Civil Disobedience.

This option will get you beaten up and land you in jail. Nevertheless it is used extensively by the radical Left because ….it works. The radical Left now occupy the grey zone between protest, political violence and outright terrorism. Tactics include the following:

 

Targeting high value individuals though social media bullying, death threats, threats against their children and extended family, approaches to their places of work, protests at their businesses, and blockades of their homes.

 

Targeting a person or business via approaches/attacks on their sources of finance, sponsorship, and business associations.

 

Arson. Beatings. Storming their homes and beating them up in their homes.

 

Option 7 – Industrial Sabotage

This option was actively considered and consciously rejected by the Australian environmental movement of the 1980’s but was embraced EarthFirst! in the United States. It is a highly effective tactic if also accompanied by a mass movement that has leaders with whom authorities can negotiate. Historical examples include the placing by the IRA of a large bomb under a bridge on the M1 motorway in Britain. The bomb was deliberately left without a detonator as a clear piece of messaging. Authorities in Britain got the message and began negotiating with Sein Fein. These negotiations eventually resulted in the Northern Ireland peace process. Similarly, the bombing of a power generation facility by a white ANC operative in South Africa was the singular act that forced the authorities to negotiate, and began the unravelling of apartheid.

 

These options are analysed in greater depth here.  Insight Policy does not advocate any one of these options. They are included because, consciously or unconsciously, we will all adopt one or more of them. Choose wisely.

 

The Sealed Section (for God Botherers and the Curious)

To everything there is a time

 

As noted in the previous edition, faith communities and other civil gatherings are now beginning to face the hard truth that under the current policy, lockdown is indefinite. The fact is, we are not going to ‘beat COVID’. The WuFlu is here to stay, and it will continue to mutate. That gives unelected officials the power to shut down any gathering, any congregation, at any time and for any length of time. How should the church respond?

 

In these testing times we need a theology of authority and government that is deeper than a toddler’s swimming pool. Protestant pastors typically quote Romans 13: 1-7 as the final word in all matters pertaining to government.  As a piece of pastoral advice to the Roman church in the first century AD this passage has stood the test of time. There are good reasons why we don’t drink and drive, require licenses to operate heavy machinery, and pay taxes. As frustrating as government can be, Churchill was right when he observed that democracy is the worst form of government except for all the others that have been tried. But that is where the conversation begins, not stops.

 

If all authorities are put there by divine providence, whose side was God on in the English civil war of 1642 between Protestants and Parliament on one side, and Catholics and the King on the other?

 

Is the American Declaration of Independence valid, or is the British Crown still the legitimate authority in the United States? In the American civil war between union and confederates, pitting devout men against each other, whose side was God on? Is the Communist Kingdom of North Korea legitimate? Is the Chinese Communist Party the legitimate government of China or is Taiwan the rightful Chinese government in exile? Where does God’s choices in election end and human free will begin? Are there divine limits to the legitimate exercise of authority?

 

May I humbly suggest that God has established the principle of authority in both the family, the church and the civil realm to fulfil certain necessary tasks; but the extent of that authority is limited. Christians say ‘Rex Lex’ not ‘Lex Rex’. The divine commandment to meet together and celebrate the Lord’s table is not nullified by petty bureaucratic decrees or by direction from church leaders. The church fathers, patriarchs and popes et al are fatherly guides, but ultimately the bride of Christ is His alone and belongs to none other.

 

It is now time to outline some options specific to believers in addition to those outlined above:

 

The Knuckling Under Option

Comply and hope things get better. This has never worked before in all of human history but who knows, this could be a first!

 

The Daniel Option

Like the Biblical Daniel we can publicly and openly practice our faith and take the consequences. Doing this has been a powerful testimony through the ages and is credited with eventually converting Rome. However, remember that Jesus cautioned his followers to ‘count the cost’. This kind of witness may best be practiced by the unmarried and the aged.

 

Going Under-ground

Depending on the severity of sanction and the risk of getting caught believers can discretely meet in suitable locations on an arranged basis. In the event of serious and sustained harassment by the authorities and snitches in the church, the following rules/structures may be adopted:

 

Meeting are not discussed or advertised through any electronic medium. No encrypted apps, no message boards, no ‘secure email’ no smart phones.

 

Meetings are held at different locations at irregular times.

 

There is a cellular leadership structure where one person or couple is responsible for so many people or families. That way, if or when the main leader is taken away, the church continues. Further, the church can physically meet in multiple locations at the same time. For example, five families could each host four families in their home.

 

Essential communication is done using flip phones or landlines with innocuous code words or through normal physical post. Simply post a birthday card with a ‘birthday’ invitation inside giving time and place.

 

Communication is via a tree structure where each designated person is responsible for contacting five other people who are each responsible for contacting five other people who are each responsible …etc. In this way a large number of people can be reached in a short time without using the internet.

 

Attendance is by personal invitation only.

 

As the vaccines fail and the body count rises, demand for actual medicine will sky rocket. If the underground church can access medicines such as HCQ, Quercetin, and Ivermectin, it can become a place of hope and healing to those seeking answers. We must begin to actively seek out sources of these medicines now. People faced with death and ruin are apt to lose their spiritual complacency. It may be that our finest hour and greatest evangelism is yet to come if we are willing to pay the price.
