Part One – War and Famine

As a backgrounder to the following, please listen to this discussion with Jordan Peterson Cometh the Horsemen: Pandemic, Famine, War | Michael Yon | #274 - YouTube

WAR

So in February this year the thug Putin for absolutely no reason at all invaded a totally innocent neighbouring country for which both he and 130-150 millions Russians should be soundly punished. Fortunately St Zelenski and the heroic peoples of Ukraine are pushing the Russians back in blood and shame after which Putin will fall and the Russian people will spontaneously hand over their country to the US/NATO, after which Russia will miraculously change from being Mordor to become a Jeffersonian democratic paradise.

…interesting.

Well that is what the media want you to believe. Since the media lie about pretty much everything let’s just unpack some simple facts about this conflict.

The March to War

Neither Russia nor Ukraine have natural borders. The word ‘Ukraine’ means ‘borderland’. Eastern Ukraine has a large, in some places majority, Russian speaking population who are loyal to Russia. It’s a complicated history. The Europeans, Scandinavians and Russians have been reorganising one anothers borders since pre Roman times. France and Germany for example, had a border war in 1870. A border war in the border lands is, frankly, not a big deal.

It has become a big deal because it is now a war between two alliances. It is the biggest war in Europe since WWII and is now drifting into WWIII.

On one side are patriotic Ukrainians, ultra nationalists, actual bona fide Baderite Nazi militias, the US and NATO directly and by proxi, and numerous mercenary forces.

On the other side are the armed forces of the Lukhansk People’s Republic, the Donetsk Peoples Republic, Chechyen volunteers, the Wagner Mercenary group, and the regular armed forces of the Russian federation.

Here is a list of provocations prior to Russia’s “unprovoked invasion.”

  • As part of the conditions for the dissolution of the USSR, Russia was promised that NATO would not move “one inch East”. That is a sensitive issue since the last time a European coalition headed east was WWII and 27 million Russians died. Having made that promise, NATO then moved to Russia’s borders, absorbed nearly the whole of Eastern Europe, invaded Serbia by proxi, and bombed Belgrade.

  • The USA then supported Islamic militants to destabilise Chechnya and southern Russian, precipitating a long and bloody stabilization operation.

  • The USA then used its proxi in Georgia to massacre Russian peacekeepers, obliging Moscow to intervene.

  • The USA/NATO then upended the nuclear balance by ringing Russia with early warning radars a missile shield that is both defensive and offensive in nature.

  • The USA turned Libya, a stable secular Arab country, into an Islamist hell hole to the notable detriment of Russia (and everyone else except rapists and slave traders). This was thoroughly documented by Wiki leaks…remember wikileaks?

  • During that time the Western world media propaganda machine continued a non-stop campaign of smearing Russia, its culture, its people, its history, and its leadership in every imaginable way except by referring to actual evidence.

  • During this time Russia was made subject to every imaginable form of economic and cultural sanction often on the slimmest of pretexts.

  • During this time the USA established a string of biowarfare laboratories in Eastern Europe aimed at creating a bioweapon specifically engineered against Slavs, various Russian ethnic groups, and Russian agriculture. Putin complained vociferously about this for a decade and was ignored.

  • Putin laid out a vision for a ‘multipolar’ cooperative world order then spent a decade seeking economic and security cooperation with the United States. All of this was rebuffed in the crudest terms.

  • In 2014 the US State Department led by Victoria Nuland successfully conducted a violent ‘colour revolution’ in Ukraine in which pro-Russians were burned alive, and then country turned into an anti-Russian entity.

  • A toxic combination of Nazis, nationalists, and assorted Russiaphobes then turned on the Russian speaking populations of East Ukraine precipitating an eight year civil war/war of independence between the central government and the new breakaway republics of Luhansk and Donetsk.

  • Russia, Germany and Ukraine brokered two peace accords which Ukraine broke with NATO backing.

  • During that time approximately 14,000 people of the Lukhansk and Donetsk republics were killed by Ukrainian/NATO forces.

  • NATO (read USA) then turned the Ukraine military from a defeated and largely lawless force into a very well equipped NATO standard army of 300 thousand troops, and created a series of fortifications, trapping Russian speakers in the Donbass.

  • During that time Ukraine continued to shell and rocket civilian areas, while engaging in numerous alleged war crimes. That is never reported in the West.

Red Lines

  • Putin stated clearly and repeatedly that he would not allow the build up of a large hostile NATO force on Russia’s borders. Ukraine and NATO then did exactly that.

  • Putin stated that granting Ukraine NATO membership would precipitate war. Zelenski promptly began courting NATO membership even as NATO trained his army.

  • Putin stated that Ukrainian pursuit of nuclear weapons would be a red line. Zelenski immediately began talking about obtaining nuclear weapons.

  • Putin stated that a Ukrainian invasion of the Donbas would precipitate war. Zelenski immediately began talking about re-claiming the Donbas.

  • Historians will argue for years to come whether Kiev intended to launch an invasion of the Donbass. Either way, their preparations for such action were well advanced by early 2022.

  • Putin cited intelligence that Ukraine was about to invade the Donbas and precipitate a genocide, and was ignored.

  • Shortly afterwards, citing a duty to protect under international law, Putin launched Russia’s ‘Special Military Operation’ aka “unprovoked invasion”.

The special military operation (SMO) has three stated goals:

1.   Demilitarisation of Ukraine

2.   De-Nazification

3.   Keep Ukraine out of NATO

Lies lies lies

Having lied about everything leading up to the war, the Western media have since lied about the war itself. For example;

  • We were supposed to believe that Russia has been losing all this time despite capturing 20 per cent of the country with a roughly 5:1 kill ratio in favour of Russia, specifically 75,000 Ukranian dead vs 15,000 Russian alliance; this despite the Ukrainians have a 3:1 numerical advantage, and pre-prepared defensive positions.

  • We are supposed to believe that Russia shelled a nuclear power station that they had captured and were guarding.

  • We are supposed to believe that Russia is isolated when 183 countries recently lined up to do trade at the Valdai economic forum etc etc

But the propaganda is really in the framing.

The Western press simply doesn’t report:

  • Grateful civilians cheering Russian troops in Ukraine

  • The ongoing shelling of civilian areas by Ukrainian forces

  • The Ukrainian policy of placing military equipment in civilian areas including schools

  • Ukrainian use of HIMARS rockets to sow butterfly mines in civilian areas
  • The extent of Ukrainian losses

If they did there would be calls for the war to end on humanitarian grounds. See for example Scott Ritter here.

However, the press has risen to the challenge of ‘memory holing’ a decade of reporting on the Nazi problem in Ukraine in favour of rehabilitating said Nazis as freedom fighters. It is an accomplishment worthy of 1984.

While this is a sensitive issue, the fact is, Ukraine is the only country to allow actual Nazis to have their owned armed militias with their own reporting structures and representative in Parliament.

Since the war started there has been an effort to bring them under control.

Nevertheless, this is the footage you were not allowed to see of Russian forces capturing the Azov Battalian headquarters in Mariupol. Watch to the end. Note the Western supplied anti-tank missiles in the corridor.

This from the Atlantic Council: Ukraine’s Got a Real Problem with Far-Right Violence (And No, RT Didn’t Write This Headline) - Atlantic Council

Here is a list of ‘who's who in the Nazi zoo’ in Ukraine.

Zelensky has outlawed all opposition parties, taken direct control of the press, and uses the secret police to silence criticism of himself or the war. Ukranian citizens have restricted movement within the country and are subject to conscription. By any objective measure, the Ukrainian government, one of the most world’s most corrupt, is now a fascist regime. Supporting this regime has become the new virtue signal. This is the man who addressed the Australian Parliament to near universal applause.

US military ‘think tankers’ and foreign policy people are now openly declaring that this is a war on Russia and is only peripherally about Ukraine. In case anyone is in doubt about that, NATO member Lithuania was persuaded to cut off the Russian enclave of Kaliningrad contrary to all agreements and all reason. This presumably is intended to force Russia into military action against a NATO member state thus triggering the NATO articles and World War Three.

For their part, the Kremlin have stated publicly that NATO is engaged in a war on Russia to which Russia will respond. The Australian government enthusiastically supports both the economic war, and the military campaign, against Russia.

Note above that Russia's current population is 130-150 million souls.

So what now? Russia suffered its first serious setback of the war recently when their forces were overwhelmed and forced to retreat from a large sector of the Northern front. Significantly they faced a new NATO trained and equipped army of which a significant proportion were not Ukrainian. Here is a list of US military aid. Russian itself is seeking to stabilise existing lines and prepare for their winter offensive with 300,000 freshly mobilised troops; 1.2 per cent of their total reserves.

The take home news here is that the combined West are now at war with Russia and Russia understands this.

See here from Mr Shoigu and key points from  Putin.

Meanwhile Western media networks are speculating about a Russian tactical nuclear strike. That is curious since Russian nuclear doctrine is crystal clear and does not allow this scenario. Either NATO is seeking to goad Russia, or they themselves are planning a nuclear option.

Agenda agendas agendas

So, who benefits?

The war industry obviously. All those billions in aid are not actually going to Ukraine, they are just a wealth transfer from the tax payer to the military industrial complex.

The US has finally managed to sever the flourishing trade ties between Europe and Russia and destroy the German economy. This consistent with their long term foreign policy objectives or keeping themselves in, the Russians out, and the Germans down.

More specifically a destroyed Europe is easier to colonise and control than a vibrant independent Europe/Eurozone.

A war that destroys Europe and weakens Russia plays into the longer term objective of splitting Russia into multipe weak states effectively under US control.

A major war in Europe in the context of a collapsing economy and global famine creates the right conditions for the WEF to impose the ‘Great Reset’ aka New World Order.

China is not a party to the conflict but will observe with interest that the combined West can  no longer prosecute industrial warfare convincingly.

I have written a course on international relations which provides good background reading to the current conflict. See further here: https://3ptraining.com.au/the-international-scene-lessons/

The war comes home

Like syphilis, war propaganda is nothing new. Nevertheless, it shows utter contempt for the principles of representative democracy, informed consent, and justice. It demonstrates the indifference and contempt with which our rulers regard us. It disrespects all sides to the conflict, all victims of war. It dishonours the blood of brave men. It always has.

However, the current propaganda is unique ‘next level’ stuff. The rulers and propagandists of the combined West have not just lied about another war, they have cancelled an entire civilisation. Russia is neither a ‘gas station masquerading as a country’ nor is it Putin or its rulers. Russia is a thousand year old Christian orthodox civilisation. Currently banned in Europe are visits by Russian clergy, cultural events, art, music, trees (I kid you not), sports, books, TV channels, and entire swaths of the internet. This in addition to stealing all Russian gold reserves stored outside the country and banning trade.

Personally, I don’t care what you think about Russia or Putin. But here’s the thing. If they can ‘cancel’ an orthodox Christian civilisation, what will they ban next? What does that mean for you? Jordan Peterson again

Are there any journalists left?

How did it come to this? Put bluntly, subverting journalism is the full time professional job of the world’s intelligence agencies. The CIA were temporarily caught out when ‘Operation Mocking Bird’ was exposed, but both they and the British continued on. For a more contemporary exposure I recommend the late Udo Ulfkotte’s book ‘Bought Journalists’ in which he describes his own process of grooming and concludes with evidence that pretty much every Western European journalist is bought and paid for by the CIA. He gained nothing from this exposure and the book was published shortly before his death. Of course, other foreign intelligence agencies also do influence operations.

Consequently, if you want to understand what is happening in the world you must ignore the mainstream media in totum and look elsewhere. Following are some English language journalists I know of who actually attempt journalism. I am not agreeing with or endorsing their writing. I am simply pointing out that they are attempting journalism:

Julian Assange, John Pilger, Chris Hedges, Oliver Stone, Pepe Escobar, George Galloway, Robert Scheer, Daniel Ellsberg, Eva Bartlett, Vanessa Beeley, Brian Becker, John Kiriakou, Scott Ritter, Mnar Adley, Lee Camp, Ben Norton, Max Blumenthal, Aaron Mate, Alexander Rubenstein, Patrice Greanville, Rania Khalek, Peter Dale Scott, Aaron Good, Eric Zuesse, Gerald Horne, Garland Nixon, Whitney Webb, Abby Martin, Mike Prysner, Noam Chomsky, Vijay Prashad, Caitlin Johnstone, Gordan Chang.

Specifically on the Ukraine conflict see the military summary channel for daily updates: Military Summary - YouTube .

If you believe that what I have written to this point is ‘Russian propaganda’ that’s OK. Here is a list of pro-Western sources, some with links to Western intelligence, supplied to me by an Australian defence academic with deep contacts in the Western defence/intel community. Note that the Atlantic Council is a CIA front organisation. Happy reading:

Guns

On the other side of the Atlantic, Joe Biden has opened the borders to the immigrant invasion of the USA. That is, de facto, an act of war/treason. While stiving to make white people a minority in their own country he then effectively declared a civil war, branding any patriotic American willing to defend their country as a ‘domestic terrorist’ before sending the politicised FBI to raid the homes of both Trump and his supporters, among others. see also ‘The Truth About January 6th’.  Today the FBI 'SWATTED' the home of a home schooling family over an alleged incident at an abortion clinic in 2021 that had already been thrown out of court.

Just to make the divisions clear, he also bragged that any gun owner thinking of threatening the US government should get themselves an F-15 fighter jet (subtext – you can’t beat us with automatic rifles, we have planes and tanks). It was a curious speech given that the Taliban just beat the US military with automatic rifles, not withstanding the fact that the US military had F-15 jets. Needless to say, a violent uprising/civil war is something the US establishment has been preparing for for a long time .

The pretext for this sudden enthusiasm for cancelling the second amendment is a school shooting in Texas. There are of course cogent arguments for and against gun control. That said, ‘gun control’ does not mean getting rid of guns. It never has. It only ever means that the State has guns and you don’t. To put that in context, the following is a brief history of gun control:

  • Turkey established gun control in 1911. Soon after, 1.5 million Armenians unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.

  • The Soviet Union established gun control in 1929. Soon after, about 20 million dissidents unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.

  • China established gun control in 1935. Soon after, 20 million political dissidents unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.

  • Germany established gun control in 1938. Soon after, a total of 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.

  • Cambodia established gun control in 1956. Soon after, one million people unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.

  • Guatemala established gun control in 1964. Soon after, 100,000 Mayan Indians unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.

  • Uganda established gun control in 1970. Soon after, 300,000 Christians unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.

  • Australia established gun control in 1996. During 2021 Australian citizens were brutalised and terrorised by their tyrannical government.

  • Venezuela established Desarma La Violencia to disarm citizens in 2010. Once one of the richest countries in Latin America, Venezuela is currently free falling into violent unrest and extreme poverty.

  • New Zealand expanded gun control in 2019. Right now, New Zealand citizens are being brutalised and terrorised by their tyrannical government.

  • Canada expanded gun control in 2020. Right now, Canadian citizens are being brutalised and terrorised by their tyrannical government.

  • Oh, and let’s not forget the tens of thousands of Christeros who handed back their weapons to President Calles' Federal force in Mexico as part of a peace pact (brokered by the Vatican) only to be summarily executed.

History suggests that if you want to avoid massacres, an armed population is the best way to do so.

Whatever the arguments for gun control, the Texas school shooting should never have been one of them.

Police physically barricaded armed parents who would have rescued their children, then waited while the shooter rampaged within the school

Eventually one parent armed with a shot gun managed to get past the police cordon, locate the offender, and shoot him.

There could not be a more clear example of the superiority of armed civilians over armed police in such situations. To use this incident as an argument for gun control is beyond absurd. Nevertheless, the propaganda media took it up and numbers are now close to being sufficient to force a constitutional referendum. If that gets up and guns are ‘controlled’ then the last defence against open gestapo style fascism within the United States will be gone. While the agenda remains tediously the same, the excuses for fascism vary. Climate fascism appears to be the latest.

Famine

Meanwhile Europe faces the perfect storm. Europe has already turned against its farmers and its reliable sources of energy, all based on unreliable models and under the nefarious excuse of placating Gia. Having now cut themselves off from Russian gas and fertilizer, Europeans face both cold and hunger.

This is the view from  Russia

This is the view from an Oxford PhD

Add to the mix, large parts of Europe are no longer European but outposts of Islamic cultures. These are violent tribal people who will not tolerate hunger. European leaders are now faced with the choice of ignoring Washington’s dictate and re-establishing report with Russia OR bringing the army onto the streets while Europeans freeze and starve. This is Germany’s choice . Put bluntly, Europe is heading back to the economic, social and political conditions that existed in the decade before WWII.

Naturally this will require even more propaganda. Gone are the primitive posters of yesteryear. Messaging is now embedded within movies, soap operas, institutions, and the academy. Paul Joseph Watson puts it quite elequently here and here .

Beyond the borders, one government Sri Lanka has already fallen as a result of famine caused by restrictions on Russian oil exports. Currently only seven countries in the world are self-sufficient in food. Even these rely heavily on affordable fertilizers and petroleum now made less affordable by bans on Russian oil and fertilizer. Ukraine, directly through grain export, and indirectly through fertilizer export, fed entire populations. Winter is coming. You do the maths.

Faced with imminent global famine compounded by supply chain problems caused by ill considered COVID policies, you would think that all efforts would be directed towards food security. You would be wrong. Instead we see a coordinated campaign of sabotage directed towards food processing plants, and a transatlantic campaign against fertilizer, farmers and food production. At the same time the WEF is pushing its agenda to force the peasants (that’s you and me in case you missed it) to stop eating meat and eat bugs instead. This is occurring against the greater backdrop of planned economic collapse. Here is Austin Fits. If you prefer someone more mainstream and less conspiratorial, here is Robert Kiyosaki (author of ‘Rich Dad Poor Dad’). See also here .

In this overall context, renewed calls for gun control are hardly surprising. Now is a good time to befriend a farmer and secure your own direct supplies of food.

Here are some thoughts on how to build resilience

Some insights from the Amish.

In the opposite spirit to the hatred, poverty and violence being visited upon us, here is an old song sung by two iconic australian artists:

‘till next time.
